The huge slopes on offer are made even more attractive by the balance in their difficulty levels.

The numerous blue and red slopes are just as interesting for families and beginners as the multitude of black and marked ski routes are for the experts and the pros.

Even the demanding "Off slope" enthusiasts get their money’s worth.

Reliability of snow 1
Reliability of snow is accorded highest priority in the Kitzbüheler Alps. Even if there is light snowfall the grass base of the slopes ensure good slope conditions. Higher-lying ski areas usually have rocky undergrounds and need a lot more snow to have better slopes.

Reliability of snow 2
Excellent skiing pleasure can be offered on the 431 km mechanically-snowed slopes even under the most adverse conditions. And the yearly investments in millions in the most modern snow technology ensures that the slope quality is no longer left to the whims of nature or other climate changes.

Safety and comfort
Austria is one of the safest tourist places in the world. Naturally, this also applies to skiing. Professional rescue service coupled with the best medical facilities having modern rescue helicopters (1) and emergency doctors provide you the necessary security for a carefree holiday.

Easy accessibility
The Kitzbüheler Alps are well-connected and easily accessible. The Inntal Autobahn / the European motorway network is only 27 kms away from the Hotel Alexander in Kirchberg. The Innsbruck (INN) and Salzburg (SZG) airports are an hours’ drive away and a drive to the Munich international airport (MUC) takes an hour and a half.

Amidst the two
lies the Hotel Alexander in the center of Kirchberg. The Skibus(2) stops directly in front of the hotel and takes you free of cost to one of the 3 local Gondola cableways in a few minutes.
